Baca Dlo' ay azhi Community School supports all students with special needs with an inclusive curriculum that allows them to learn, grow, and advance with their classmates. With the early identification of learning disabilities, our staff can create the best learning environment for all. We apply the most appropriate academic services and accommodations to allow students to achieve their greatest potential. Special needs students overcome mental, physical, and emotional challenges with our advanced tools, resources, and teaching strategies.

Individualized Education Plans

Parents/guardians collaborate with teachers to design Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The IEP is a carefully planned learning strategy that meets a student's individual needs. The IEP will address any challenges to the student’s learning process, including social, physical, and emotional disabilities. All IEPs are carefully monitored for their effectiveness, successes, and potential improvements. The school forms partnerships with families by fostering open and consistent two-way communication.

Parent/Guardian Involvement

Baca Dlo' ay azhi Community School partners with parents and guardians to support students’ classroom performance. School-family partnerships will lift students with special needs to new academic, physical, emotional, and social heights.  For optimal student success, parents/guardians and teachers should identify disabilities early, accommodate them, and monitor progress continuously.

We provide students the personalized attention needed to progress through our curriculum. Our special education program focuses on students' unique abilities and diverse needs. Teachers use the latest and most effective teaching techniques to enhance the classroom experience and learning potential. New ideas, feedback, suggestions, and questions from parents/guardians are always welcomed and encouraged.
