Baca Hosts Family Paint Night in Prewitt

Baca/Dlo'ay Azhi Community School in Prewitt, New Mexico, celebrated creativity and connection during its Kid + Adult Paint Night in May. Hosted in partnership with Gallup Arts, the free event welcomed students and their families for an evening of hands-on activity and quality time together.

Guided by art instructors, families created vibrant sunflower paintings step by step, encouraging one another and enjoying conversations and laughter along the way. Every participant left with their painting and memories of a fun night spent learning and creating.

The event strengthened family engagement and built community connections outside the classroom. The school continues to offer experiences that support student success and celebrate the arts as a powerful way to bring people together.
